Dr. Thomas Rocchio is a nationally recognized expert in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, with over two decades of experience in advanced podiatric care. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, followed by an intensive surgical residency at Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. There, he trained under world-renowned surgeon Dr. Guido LaPorta, gaining advanced expertise in complex foot and ankle procedures, including Charcot reconstruction, limb lengthening, and pediatric deformity correction.

Board certified in foot surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, Dr. Rocchio is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a respected speaker on diabetic limb salvage and advanced surgical techniques. He has lectured across the U.S. and internationally and remains actively involved in clinical innovation.

Dr. Rocchio is the developer of the “parachute technique” for fat pad restoration and co-designer of an external fixation frame widely used by surgeons nationwide. He also completed specialized training in external fixation biomechanics at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, where his research was presented at the international ASAMI conference. Dr. Rocchio has a professional affiliation with St. Luke’s Hospital–Bethlehem and also served as former team podiatrist for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. He continues to be a driving force in foot and ankle surgery, blending clinical excellence with surgical innovation.
